We are converting our chicken flock to be primarily
Marans. These chickens lay a dark chocolate colored egg.
We have mainly Cuckoo Marans right now but we are in the process of adding some of the
rarer Marans varieties.
The primary purpose for our chickens is egg and meat production for our family.
We do keep a few Ameraucanas and Banties as well just for variety.
We also keep a small flock of guinea fowl. We have a variety of colors.
These birds are great for bug, tick, and snake control, and are a pleasure to look at!
At certain times of the year, we incubate and hatch a small number of select eggs.
When we have extra eggs, chicks, keets or adult fowl, we offer them for sale, trade or barter.
